Road to the Oscars 2010!

With this Sunday's telecast of the Oscars just around the corner, I am really excited. It is just a great time to honor a year in art, performance, film and above all else creativity. This year is a David Vs. Goliath battle between big budget films Vs. small scale story-telling with films like Avatar, Up, Inglorious Basterds going against art house films like The Hurt Locker, Precious, An Education and many others. It will be interesting to watch and see who takes what. After viewing 99% of all the films, here is my list for 10 Best Films of 2009 as well as some of my Oscar picks. The Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin hosted Oscars can be seen Sunday at 7pm on ABC.

10 BEST FILMS OF 2009

1- The Hurt Locker
2- An Education
3- Star Trek
4- The Fantastic Mr. Fox
5- District 9
6- (500) Days of Summer
7- Moon
8- Precious
9- Up in the Air
10- Inglorious Basterds

**A special nod to James Cameron and Avatar, you cant have a film list from last year without mentioning it. The 3-D experience was one of the greatest I have ever had and was one of the greatest movie going experiences anyone could have. However, when the effects are gone, I felt it doesn't hold what these films did.
