As previously reported last year that Rage Against the Machine were releasing new material this year. Those reports have now been squashed by the band and they have no plans to write or record at the moment.
Manchester Orchestra will be releasing their much anticipated album, Simple Math later this year. But the band are also going to be releasing a B-sides record as well. Drummer and keyboardist, Chris Freeman told website www.propertyofzack.com that We had a ton of songs for this album. Cutting down was the hardest part. At the end of the day there were 50-plus songs we had to cut down on. The thing about our band is that we really love the studio and touring is a separate entity that we do because we have to and because we like seeing our fans and have them not just be an idea."
Since the departure of guitarist Adam Kessler last summer, The Drums have officially added Myles Matheny as their new guitarist and drummer Chris Stein to the band.
The Cure are set to perform their first three albums in full from start to finish at the legendary Sydney Opera House at the end of the month. 1979’s Three Imaginary Boys, 1980’s Seventeen Seconds, and 1981’s Faith will be played for the first time in full but he legendary band as part of the Vivid Live Festival. Fingers crossed they do this in America.
