Elbow confirmed this weekend at the iTunes festival in England that they will be working on the follow-up to last years build a rocket boys! this Fall.

Refused announced they will play their final U.S. reunion show on November 5 in Los Angeles at Fonda Theater.

The long awaited autobiography of Pete Townshend will be released on October 11, the book entitled, Who I Am has been worked on for the last 15 years.

Sad news to report, Hydra Head records will be shutting its operation after nearly two decades working.

While one label closes, another classic label seems to be emerging again, Alan McGee, the man behind the careers of Oasis, Primal Scream, Glasvegas, The Jesus and Mary Chain and many others is looking to resurrect Creation Records. In a statement to Louder Than War, McGee said, "Music needs a kick in the balls, and I have got the music buzz back again after working on Tokyo Rocks."

Speaking of Oasis, Noel Gallagher has admitted that "being a solo artists is harder work than being in Oasis." Speaking to NME Radio, Gallagher said, "This is a lot harder work than Oasis was, this is very hard on the brain, Oasis was hard on the soul. This is hard, you've got to be on it every night. When I was in Oasis, I'd shuffle on hungover, having been up late, by the time we got to my bits in the set I'd be very warmed up, but now I've got to be on it from the start."

The Weeknd has announced the official release of his brilliant triology of free mixtapes. Joining forces with Universal Republic, The Weeknd will release House of Balloons, Thursday, Echoes of Silence as a single triolgy on November 18, the albums will also come with bonus tracks and previously unreleased material.

Pussy Riot are set to release an ebook via Feminist Press this month. The collection has previously unavailable material including letters from prison, closing courtroom statements by the defense attorneys, and poems in addition to the infamous punk prayer and new translations of the powerful courtroom statements. This eBook also includes galvanizing tributes from Yoko Ono, Johanna Fateman, Karen Finley, Justin Vivian Bond, Eileen Myles, and JD Samson.
