Living Colour have confirmed they are working on a new record. The album will be a follow-up to the band's acclaimed 2009 release, The Chair in the Doorway.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Eddie Vedder gave an update on the new Pearl Jam record. Vedder said, "Um, maybe halfway there. We're taking our time. I was talking to Jeff [Ament] today, we were texting, he's got his group up there. He's heading to the West Coast, I'm heading east. And we're out here like, you know, like Johnny Appleseed. He's covering part of the country. I'm doing the other. And at some point we'll join forces again for sure, but the band is as healthy as ever and I'm sure it's good to get a little break from each other, but it's nice to – we'll be ready to go when we're ready to go."

For the second year in a row, Adele's 21 was the biggest selling record in the US and UK.

After being followed by Oasis reunion rumors since both brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher started their own projects, Liam spoke out to Q magazine and laid some of the rumors to rest. Liam said, "It was Noel who started that rumour, I’ve never said a fucking dicky bird. Fuck Oasis as far as I’m concerned and fuck Noel Gallagher. The thought of going onstage with that fucking idiot and hanging out with his daft mates, the pretend drug addicts and all his snobs from Sloane Street. Fuck that, not interested, mate. We’re Beady Eye all the fucking way."

The Weeknd confirmed via Twitter that he is working on new material that will be released this year.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Mick Jagger hinted that The Rolling Stones could tour in 2013. Jagger said, "I'm going to see what's on the table and discuss it with everyone. We'll announce it when we've figured it out." The band have been rumored to play Coachella in April and Glastonbury in June.

Against Me! will release their much anticipated new record, Transgender Dysphoria Blues in the Spring.

Speaking to Uncut magazine, Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij spoke about the bands forthcoming third record. Batmanglij said, "The goal was to use organic sounds and put them in a context that you might not have heard before. It's certainly darker and grittier than 'Contra'. A lot of these songs are about conflict. They're about the choices we can make, being able to do what we want with our lives. With 'Contra' I was interested in a kind of arty, '80's New York sound, but this album goes deeper. It gets into the '50s and some of it sounds like jazz, but broken down into its most basic elements and played in a very simple way. It's more of a subtle kind of complexity and there's an intimacy to the performances, both vocal and instrumental, that are very special. I think the sound of the piano is central to the record." The band plan to release the record later this year.
