Following their Australian tour, Green Day have announced they will take an extended break.

Subbass superstar DJ and producer Burial has surprised fans, yet again, with the announcement of a new EP. Not much is known about his latest offering, but it will arrive December 16, it will contain three songs and will clock in at 28 minutes.

Months after she was hired to replace Kim Deal in Pixies, bassist Kim Shattuck was fired from the band just mere months after joining them. Shattuck confirmed the news via Twitter and Facebook and the band have yet to release a statement as to why they sacked her from the group. Pixies, who are confirmed to perform London's Field Day 2014 next year, have yet to announce who will replace her.

African guitar-centered band Tinariwen will release their new album, Emmarr on February 11. Take a look at the tracklisting below:
