Quick News

Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach spoke to Mojo magazine about how he eventually went on to work with Lana Del Rey and produce her forthcoming album, Ultraviolence. He said, ""We were only scheduled to do three days, and then she stretched it out to two weeks and we finished a whole record. She's the real deal. She impressed me every day. There were moments when she was fighting me. I could sense that maybe she didn't want to have anybody thing she wasn't in control because I'm sure it's really hard to be a woman in the music business. So we bumped heads a little bit, but at the end of the day we were dancing to the songs."

Last week we mentioned that R.E.M.'s Peter Buck has formed a band with Corin Tucker of Sleater-Kinney called super-Earth. Speaking to Charlotte Observer, Brian Fallon of Gaslight Anthem spoke about the band's new album, saying, "It might grow on some people who might not like it at first or say, “This is too weird, it’s not what I expected.” They’re entitled to that. It’s fair to feel that way, but once you sit with it, after the initial shock, you’ll find similarities to the old records. It still sounds like us." No word on the release date of that record either.
