KISS will have a month long residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas beginning in November.
The Drums will release their third album, Encyclopedia this fall. Frontman Johnny Pierce told Spin, "'Encyclopedia' is full of magic and surprise while maintaining a serious, more weighty tone throughout. We were feeling very angry, confused and alone when we made this album, and we wanted to be very honest this time around, even if being honest meant making some people uncomfortable. We've left the beach for higher ground, always searching for hope."
Speaking to NME, School Of Seven Bells' Alejandra Deheza said that the band will release a posthumous record after the death of member Benjamin Curtis. The record, which will feature Curtis' final work is said to be "the best one we've ever done," according to Deheza. She also said, "There's plenty left to do but the songs themselves, so far as structure and lyrics go, are written." No word yet on a release.
Johnny Marr confirmed via Facebook that his new album is done and is being mastered at Abbey Road Studios in London. Marr posted this photo to showcase the news:
