Tool haven't released a record in nine years, 2006's 10,000 Days. Last year it was reported that the band were involved in a hefty lawsuit with their insurers, which a new judge sided in favor of the band, and illness sidelined a new record. Now, guitarist Adam Jones told Yahoo! that the band hope to have their latest record out later this year. He said, "Some of it's really heavy, some of it's complex and some is more atmospheric, but it's definitely Tool. I think having this lawsuit out of the way should really speed of the progress of getting the album done."
Taking to Facebook, The Living End confirmed they are working on their new album.
Kendrick Lamar is the talk of the town after surprise releasing his latest album, To Pimp A Butterfly on iTunes and Spotify. Now, as we all have had a chance to listen, Flying Lotus, who produced the first track, "Wesley's Theory," he took to Twitter to give behind-the-scenes details of what it was like behind closed doors making this record. Flying Lotus said:
Was helping out with @kendricklamar live visual show when he did the yeezus tour...

I was really surprised how he gave zero fucks about the media circus surrounding the tour. Was real low key trying to create, the whole time

I played him a folder of beats that I was keeping close for my next @xCaptainMurphyx project. Gave him all the beats like fuxk it.

When I played him that beat he asked me who I imagined on it. I laughed and said @george_clinton . I never thought it would actually happen
