Morrissey has written a new album but is in search of a label to put it out. The former Smiths frontman told Isreal's Walla: "It is not possible to find a recording deal, so we would record it ourselves as soon as we can find a distributor who could make it available worldwide. There was a time when the music industry served the artist, but now the artist must serve the music industry... which is why everything is now so tasteless. Nowadays, everything is controlled and monitored so there is no chance of a singer who wants to be released to expose political opinion."
Sad news, The Nightly Show with Larry Wilmore has been canned by Comedy Central. The last show will be Thursday.
The Shins have announced that their new album is done BUT it won't come out until next year. Frontman James Mercer told Portland radio station KBOO: "“I’m really excited about this record... I think we’ve got something that Shins fans will really love, and I think there’s some other things on there that are different enough. I made a concerted effort on certain songs to fit the palette, to use the palette that I’ve used historically for the band. I think it’s really strong. I think lyrically, I’m better than I ever was. And I think my songwriting is stronger than it ever was.”
