U2 have confirmed that their new album, Songs of Experience, will arrive in 2017. Speaking to U2 fansite, U2 Espana, bassist Adam Clayton said that within the next six months fans can expect an announcement of sorts.
Linden Boulevard and 192nd Street in St. Albans, Queens, New York will officially be renamed Malik “Phife Dawg” Taylor Way in honor of the late Tribe Called Quest emcee that passed away earlier this year.
Slaves have confirmed that their new album will be "very different" from last year's brilliant debut, Are You Satisfied? Singer Isaac Holman told DIY: "We’ve done all the music, it’s just the finishing touches now; it’s about concentrating on artwork and tracklisting, things like that.” No official release has been given.
Speaking to Ultimate Guitar, Nirvana producer Butch Vig has said the band's signature sound on Nevermind came thanks to Dave Grohl. Vig said: "I just kept pacing around the room and going, ‘Oh, my god. This sounds fuckin’ amazing.’ Dave is an incredible musician. He really is. People always say, ‘How’d you get that sound on Nevermind?’ and 90 percent of it is Dave Grohl… it’s just how Dave plays and he’s just so, so powerful.”
Prince Paul has started a new group with Digable Planets' Ladybug Mecca, Don Newkirk and Brazilian musician Rodrigo Brandao called Broozkill. The band's debut, Throwback to the Future, will be released in October. Take a look at the tracklisting, below:
