It has been confirmed that Noel Gallagher has given all of the royalties made from the Oasis single "Don't Look Back in Anger," to the families of those affected by the Manchester bombing a few weeks ago. The singer and songwriter gave the money discreetly in the last few weeks and has been attacked, mainly by brother Liam, for not performing at the recent #OneLoveManchester gig Sunday.

In related news, Liam Gallagher has confirmed via Twitter that his solo debut, As You Were, is finished.

Living Colour last released a record in 2009, the excellent, The Chair in the Doorway, and for the last few years, they have been teasing a new record Shade. Now, in an interview with Billboard, singer Corey Glover says it is coming in September. "We spent a great deal of time fretting over a lot of stuff and trying to make sure it says exactly what we wanted to say and that we play it the way we wanted to play it," Glover said of the delay. "We spent a great deal of time just laying these grooves and getting lyrical ideas and building on those. Then it was a matter of picking and choosing among all that stuff we had and what works and what was kind of fair to middling, what needed work and what doesn't work and go from there. And during the process we have families and children and we have lives. It was a balancing act."

During this weekend's Governors Ball in New York City, Childish Gambino said his next album will be his last. Later, Gambino himself, Donald Glover, spoke to Huffington Post about his comments and said he is retiring the rap persona. "There’s nothing worst than like a third sequel, like a third movie and we’re like, ‘again?’ You know, I like it when something’s good and when it comes back there’s a reason to come back, there’s a reason to do that," he said. "Like I feel like there’s gotta be a reason to do things and I always had a reason to be punk,” he continued. “Being punk just always felt really good to me and we always looked at ‘Atlanta’ as a punk show and I feel like the direction I would go with Childish Gambino wouldn’t be punk anymore. As much as ‘Redbone’ is a punk song because it’s a gospel song that’s on the radio, I’m like there’s only so far you can go before you just are the radio.”

Kurt Vile and Courtney Barnett are releasing a joint album together later this year with members of The Violators, Sleater-Kiney, and Warpaint. No word on an official release date or title.
