Today marks the 16th anniversary of the September 11 attacks in New York City, Washington, and Pennsylvania. For this VINTAGE CLIP we look at Ryan Adams' performance of "New York New York," on the Late Show with David Letterman in 2001. The song, which was released the week before the attacks, became the unofficial anthem of healing in the city.
